Pat McCormick has over 40 years of diverse industry and business leadership experience.
Pat is President of PMCC Ventures, a consulting and interim leadership firm, simply aimed at helping clients improve the business of their business. Pat’s experiences include multiple roles ranging from board member to interim leadership to consulting and advisory relationships. In most all assignments, the client is at a crossroad and is entertaining or experiencing some sort of business transition.
Pat is known as a strategic thinker and bottom- line oriented operator. Pat’s diverse industry experience and varied life cycle experiences, coupled with a strong operational and financial background and substantial expertise in many facets of business operations afford him a unique vantage point and sufficient experience to be able to quickly understand, analyze and assess current situations and to compare to known better practices.
Further, Pat’s work style is focused on helping organizations and people cope with and embrace the challenges of change. Pat’s style is rigorous and collaborative and gains significant energy and enjoyment from helping individuals and teams develop, coalesce and perform.
Core to Pat’s beliefs about business is the need to not only position organizations for strategic, operational and financial excellence today- but to position them for growth and development to enable them to capitalize on and create future opportunities and withstand the inevitable challenges that arise in the commercial world.
Prior Roles
Pat began his career in the Audit practice of Arthur Andersen and over his 21 years at Andersen helped to lead the development and growth of the Business Consulting Practice in the firm. Pat spent the past five years of his partnership at Andersen leading the Finance Business Solutions Practice in North America and Europe- a $500 million part of the $1.8 Billion Business Consulting practice.
Subsequently, Pat worked as the CFO of a startup Internet firm and then the CFO/COO of O’Neill Properties, a brownfield real estate developer where he led all efforts to develop projects and manage debt and equity relationships.
Pat worked for several years as a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, the turnaround and consulting firm.
Pat formed PMCC Ventures in 2007. PMCC Ventures, a firm focused on turnarounds and Business Performance improvement. During this time period, Pat serves on the Board of Directors of a regional engineering firm as an Audit Committee Chairman and Board member of a regional bank. . Pat’s roles with clients included serving as a consultant/Advisor as well as filling Fractional Executive Leadership roles-all aimed at transformation and value creation.
Pat’s diverse career has afforded him the opportunity to work in and understand the dynamics and value drivers of a multitude of industries. His experience ranges from start-ups to global corporations and includes most all facets of a company’s development life cycle. Further, he has worked in turnaround situations as well as helping high performing organizations improve their results.
A significant portion of Pat’s consulting and interim leadership time has been spent working with Private Equity owned companies in both Buy side and Sell side roles..
Pat has a dual degree in Management/Marketing and Accounting from St. Joseph’s University where he also served as the Chairman of the Student Association Board of Directors, as well as President of the Student Association. Pat is a CPA.
